The Strategic Hate Crime partnership are looking to improve our understanding of people’s experience and perceptions of Hate Crime in Southend, Essex, and Thurrock. The research will in turn direct our work as a partnership for the next few years.

The first part of this research is a public survey – which I’m pleased to tell you is now live (closing 18 February) - https://consultations.essex.gov.uk/equalities-and-partnership/fc025905/

The survey is not just for people who have been a victim of hate crime as we are keen to get an understanding from everyone, although there are more questions for those who have been a victim recently. We’re also keen to hear from people who have been a victim whilst carrying out their job, especially those in frontline roles.
